Offshore platform Jacking system
- Jacking Unit
The key parts of Offshore jack-up rigs are legs and jacking systems. Currently, our plant is one of the worldwide first -tier jacking system manufacturers globally recognized.
For many years, PIINC has been developing and supplying gearboxes and pinions for Jacking machinery on offshore platforms.
PIINC has developed multiple types of lifting gear drive devices. The products have been widely used. The reduction ratio of a single lifting gearbox is large. By the reduction of multi-stage parallel transmission and multi-stage planetary and loading shunt, the reduction ratio can be over 6000:1, and the output speed can be less than 1 r/min. The output gear adopts the method of large modulus, big pressure angle, and small number of teeth. The material is high-strength alloy steel, which can effectively ensure the load-carrying capacity of the gear. The lifting capacity of a single output gear can reach 450 tons.
It is classified according to the operating water depth and the rated lifting capacity of a single gearbox. 50 tons. Operating water depth covers from 200 feet to 550 feet; the rated lifting force of a single unit ranges from 50T to 450T.
2. Fixation System
PIINC has developed a series of advanced fixation systems with high load-bearing capacity. The device is suitable for self-elevating cobalt well platforms under complex marine conditions.
The fixation system is a high-load-bearing device driven by an electric-controlled hydraulic system, with the feature of automatic positioning of the toothed block.
The worm reducer drives the load-bearing screw to move, and the load-bearing screw drives the wedge block to move up and down, locking the toothed block to the pile leg rack.
The tooth profile of the toothed block is specially designed to ensure smoothness during locking and unlocking. Regardless of the height of the platform, the locking system can automatically position the toothed block to achieve locking and unlocking of the platform and the pile leg, shortening the locking and unlocking operation time.
In addition to meeting the design load requirements of the platform, the design of the locking device can also be customized according to user needs.
The product design and manufacturing of the locking device have passed the design certification and prototype load test certification of the American Bureau of Shipping ABS.
3. Leg Rack and Chord
The most common type of elevating system is the rack and pinion. This is a simple, easy-to-operate system consisting of large gear wheels which, when turned, run along the vertical toothed racks attached to each of the legs, thus jacking the rig up or down. The pinions can be employed in pairs on either side of the leg member (opposed pinion) or on one side of the leg only (unopposed pinion).
