ODM3000 OD Mount Flange Facers

The PIINC ODM3000 OD-Mounted Flange Facer is a portable, externally mounted, single-point machining machine designed for precision resurfacing and repair of extra-large industrial flanges. Its outside-diameter (OD) mounting configuration allows the machine to be installed on the outer diameter of a flange, supporting on-site machining for industrial maintenance, repair, and fabrication applications.

With an OD clamping diameter of 100–120 inches (2503–3048 mm) and a facing diameter range of 0–120 inches (0–3048 mm), the ODM3000 is designed for demanding large-flange machining requirements. Its portable design supports in-situ machining, helping maintenance teams work on large components directly at the installation site.

The ODM3000 is designed for flange facing and resurfacing, including machining of O-ring grooves, ring-type joint (RTJ) grooves, V-grooves, and lens ring surfaces. Depending on the selected configuration, additional operations may include milling, beveling, squaring, counterboring, and weld-end preparation.

Key Features and Benefits

1. External OD-Mounting Design

The ODM3000 mounts to the outside diameter of the flange, providing a practical solution for machining flange faces directly at the job site. This configuration is intended for field maintenance and repair of large industrial components.

2. Extra-Large-Diameter Machining Capability

With an OD clamping range of 100–120 inches and a stated facing diameter of up to 120 inches, the ODM3000 is designed for extra-large flange resurfacing and repair applications.

3. Versatile Single-Point Flange Machining

The machine is designed for single-point flange facing and resurfacing, with applications that include:

• Flange face refacing and resurfacing

• O-ring groove machining

• RTJ (ring-type joint) groove machining

• V-groove machining

• Lens ring surface machining

• Counterboring

• Weld preparation

4. Flexible Machining Configurations

Depending on the selected configuration, ODM-series machines can be arranged for flange facing, milling, or combined operations. This flexibility allows the equipment to be matched to different machining and repair requirements. Confirm the functions available on the specific ODM3000 configuration.

5. Portable Design for On-Site Maintenance

The ODM3000 is developed for field machining, maintenance, and fabrication projects. Its portable design supports machining directly where the flange is installed, which can be particularly useful when handling components too large or inconvenient to move to a conventional machine shop.

6. Mounting and Alignment Flexibility

The ODM series is designed with field installation in mind. Larger models may use independent mounting systems or chucks to facilitate setup and alignment. The exact mounting arrangement for the ODM3000 should be confirmed with the manufacturer.
