Product Overview

The XQ28/1.8Y Hydraulic Power Tong is an open-throat hydraulic power tong designed for making up and breaking out sucker rod coupling threads during oilfield well servicing operations. Driven by a low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motor, this power tong features a compact, lightweight structure and a manual directional control valve for straightforward operation.

The main tong works together with a hydraulic backup tong to form an integrated tong system. When the operator controls the main tong's manual directional valve, the backup tong automatically synchronizes its clamping and release actions with the main tong, helping secure the connection during make-up and break-out operations.

Both the main tong and backup tong use an inner curved-surface roller climbing mechanism with bidirectional clamping. Operators can change the clamping direction using the direction selector knobs. By changing the jaw blocks, the tong can accommodate the specified sizes of sucker rod couplings and tubing.

The two-speed design supports low-speed initial thread engagement and high-speed tightening, helping improve operating efficiency during well servicing work.
