PIPFF2000 Flange Facer

The PIINC PIPFF2000 Portable Flange Facer is a heavy-duty, internally mounted flange facing machine designed for on-site machining of large-diameter flanges. It supports flange face resurfacing, sealing groove machining, weld preparation, counterboring, and heat exchanger repair, providing a practical solution for maintaining critical flange surfaces without transporting suitable workpieces to a machine shop.

With a facing range of 24–80 inches and a clamping range of 24–72 inches, the PIPFF2000 is designed for demanding industrial flange machining applications. Its heavy-duty precision-grade bearings, rigid turntable structure, and rotating slide arm provide stable support during machining, helping achieve accurate results in field conditions.

The PIPFF2000 features a two-piece mounting base assembly with steel threaded inserts and adjustable feet to support machine positioning and alignment. Its adjustable rotation arm and counterweight allow operators to configure swing clearance and machining range according to the application. Powered by a 4 HP pneumatic motor, the PIPFF2000 is designed for large-diameter flange resurfacing and repair.

Optional heat exchanger mounting and back-facing kits are available to extend the machine's configuration options for specialized machining tasks.

Key Features and Benefits

1. Large-Diameter Flange Facing Capability

With a facing range of 24–80 inches, the PIPFF2000 is designed for machining and resurfacing large-diameter flange faces. Its internally mounted configuration supports on-site flange maintenance in industrial environments.

2. High-Rigidity Structural Design

The PIPFF2000 features heavy-duty precision-grade bearings and a robust turntable assembly to support the rotating slide arm. This rigid structure is designed to maintain stability during cutting and support accurate machining of large flange surfaces.

3. Heavy-Duty Bearings and Rotating Slide Arm

The bearing and slide arm system provides structural support for machining operations across the specified working range. This design is intended to deliver consistent support under demanding on-site machining conditions.

4. Two-Piece Mounting Base Assembly

The machine is equipped with two high-strength mounting bases, steel threaded inserts, and adjustable feet. These components help operators level and center the machine during installation.

The mounting base assembly is specified for flange diameters from 610 mm to 1965 mm. This is a separate mounting specification from the stated maximum facing diameter.

5. Adjustable Rotation Arm and Counterweight

The rotation arm and counterweight can be adjusted to suit the required swing clearance and machining range. This flexibility helps operators configure the machine for different workpiece geometries and site conditions.

6. Versatile Flange Machining Applications

The PIPFF2000 is designed for a range of on-site machining operations, including:

• Flange face resurfacing

• Sealing groove machining

• Weld preparation

• Counterboring

• Heat exchanger repair

These capabilities make the machine suitable for various flange maintenance and repair requirements.

7. Optional Heat Exchanger Mounting Kit

An optional heat exchanger mounting kit is available for compatible applications. It provides additional mounting flexibility for machining heat exchanger tube sheets and related workpieces.

Depending on the selected setup, machining can be performed on the outside diameter and on the back or lower face, as well as the top face of a workpiece.

8. Optional Back-Facing Kit

The optional back-facing kit expands the machine's configuration options for machining surfaces that are difficult to access using a standard setup.

9. Powerful Pneumatic Drive

The PIPFF2000 is driven by a 4 HP pneumatic motor. The specified maximum cutting depths are:

• Flanges without bolt holes: Up to 2 mm (0.079 inches)

• Flanges with bolt holes: Up to 0.5 mm (0.020 inches)

These values provide reference limits for planning flange resurfacing operations.
