PIPFFD1500 OD Mount Flange Facer

The PIINC PIPFFD1500 OD-Mounted Flange Facer is a portable machining machine designed for precision flange resurfacing, flange facing, and on-site repair. Its outside-diameter (OD) mounting configuration allows the machine to be secured to the outer diameter of a flange, supporting field machining without requiring the workpiece to be transported to a conventional machine shop.

With an OD clamping diameter of 40–60 inches (1004–1524 mm) and a stated facing diameter range of 0–1524 mm, the PIPFFD1500 is designed for machining large industrial flanges. Its portable design and field-oriented setup support maintenance, repair, and fabrication work where accurate flange surface machining is required.

The PIPFFD1500 is designed for a range of machining operations, including flange facing, O-ring groove machining, RTJ and V-groove machining, lens ring machining, counterboring, and weld preparation. Depending on the machine configuration, additional operations such as milling, beveling, squaring, and weld-end preparation may also be available.

Key Features and Benefits

1. Outside-Diameter Mounting Design

The PIPFFD1500 mounts to the outside diameter of the flange, providing a practical configuration for on-site flange machining and repair. Its external mounting arrangement is designed to support stable positioning during machining.

2. Large-Diameter Flange Machining

With an OD clamping range of 40–60 inches, the PIPFFD1500 is suited to large-flange maintenance and resurfacing applications in industrial environments.

3. Versatile Flange Machining Applications

The machine is designed for single-point flange machining and can be configured for a variety of flange repair tasks, including:

• Flange face resurfacing and refacing

• O-ring groove machining

• RTJ (ring-type joint) groove machining

• V-groove machining

• Lens ring machining

• Counterboring

• Weld preparation

Depending on the selected configuration, milling, beveling, squaring, and weld-end preparation may also be supported.

4. Portable Design for Field Maintenance

The PIPFFD1500 is developed for field applications where portability and installation flexibility are important. Its design supports in-situ machining, maintenance work, and fabrication projects that require flange surfaces to be machined at the job site.

5. Flexible Configuration Options

The PIPFFDseries includes multiple models designed for different working requirements. Depending on the configuration, machines in the series can be arranged for flange facing, milling, or combined machining operations.

6. Setup and Alignment Flexibility

The OD-mounted design is intended to support field installation and setup. Across the PIPFFDseries, larger models may use independent mounting systems or chucks to facilitate alignment and installation. The specific mounting arrangement should be confirmed for the PIPFFD1500 configuration.
