PIPFF600 OD Mounted Flange facer

The PIINC PIPFF600 OD-Mounted Flange Facer is a portable, externally mounted, gear-driven, single-point machining machine designed for on-site flange facing and flange repair. It is engineered to machine a variety of flange faces and sealing features, including O-ring grooves, ring-type joint (RTJ) grooves, V-grooves, lens ring surfaces, weld preparations, and counterbores.

With a facing range of 0–24 inches and a clamping range of 12–24 inches, the PIPFF600 is designed for larger-diameter flange machining applications. Its modular structural design, precision bearings, and stable main body support controlled machining, while adjustable legs and quick-adjustment jacking legs help simplify setup and alignment in the field.

Powered by a standard 2.7 kW (3.6 HP) pneumatic motor, the PIPFF600 offers substantial drive power for demanding flange repair work. Its pneumatic drive also permits use in hazardous areas where suitable pneumatic equipment is required. An optional servo drive is available upon request.

Key Features and Benefits

1. External-Mount Design

The PIPFF600 uses an external mounting configuration for on-site machining of flange faces and sealing features. Its portable design supports field maintenance and repair without requiring every flange to be transported to a workshop.

2. Large-Diameter Flange Machining

With a facing range of up to 24 inches and a clamping range of 12–24 inches, the PIPFF600 is suited to flange facing and sealing-surface repair across a range of industrial applications.

3. Versatile Single-Point Machining

The gear-driven machining system is designed for multiple flange repair tasks, including:

• Flange face refacing

• O-ring groove machining

• RTJ groove machining

• V-groove machining

• Lens ring surface machining

• Weld preparation

• Counterboring

4. Precision Bearings and Stable Structure

Precision bearings and a stable main body provide support for smooth, controlled machining. The modular structure and high-strength materials are designed to support reliable operation during on-site maintenance work.

5. Adjustable Legs for Setup and Alignment

Adjustment legs and jacking legs help operators position and align the machine during installation. Quick adjustment helps simplify the setup process at the job site.

6. Preset Tool-Post Angles

The tool post includes preset positions at 0°, 23°, and −23°, providing defined tool-positioning options for different machining requirements.

7. Powerful Pneumatic Drive

The standard drive system is a 2.7 kW (3.6 HP) air motor. Pneumatic power is suitable for field applications where compressed air is available and can permit use in hazardous areas, subject to the site’s safety requirements and applicable regulations.

8. Optional Servo Drive

An optional servo drive is available upon request, providing an alternative drive configuration for users with specific operating requirements.

9. Controlled Cutting Depth

The PIPFF600 can achieve a maximum cutting depth of 2 mm (0.079 in) on flanges without bolt holes or 0.5 mm (0.020 in) on flanges with bolt holes, according to the supplied product information.

10. Metal Storage Case

The machine comes with a metal case for storage and transport.
